Culinary Arts I students learned about the 5 mother sauces and the small sauces chefs use to make a variety of dishes. Students used bechamel sauce to make baked macaroni and cheese, velouté sauce to make chicken pot pie, tomato sauce to make marinara, and brown sauce to make beef stroganoff.
