Choctaw County Career and Technology Center is honored to have Mrs. Ashley Fondren, Culinary Arts Instructor/SkillsUSA Advisor, along with Journee Banks, Choctaw County SkillsUSA President, MS SkillsUSA Treasurer, and State Officer attend the Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI) this week. The advisors and students attending WLTI, will focus on professionalism, communication, and leadership skills. Mrs. Fondren, Miss Banks, and other MS SkillsUSA officers have been preparing for legislation meetings where they will advocate for Career and Technical Education (CTE). Today, they have met with Roger Wicker, United States Senator from Mississippi, Cindy Hyde-Smith, United States Senator from Mississippi, and Congressman Michael Guest, 3rd District of Mississippi. They have also toured Washington, D.C., as well as many national monuments.
