Recently, the Health Science and Sports Medicine students at Choctaw County Career & Technical Center got an up close and personal look into one of many career opportunities in the medical field - emergency medicine. Mr. Todd Mitchell with Pafford Medical Services educated the students on careers within the field of emergency medicine and how emergency medical care operates within Choctaw County. Mr. Mitchell and other Pafford Medical Services staff members demonstrated emergency medicine techniques as well as proper use of various emergency medical equipment including a Kendrick Extrication Device, Power Ambulance Stretcher Trolley, a Long Bone Fracture Reduction/Traction Splint, and an Intraosseous Infusion Drill. The Health Science and Sports Medicine students enjoyed spending time with the staff from Pafford Medical Services, and are thankful for their support of CCCTC students!
