Some students at Weir Elementary School completed applications and were selected to assist in the library based on excellent character traits, responsibility, and academic success. While in the library, helping, the student assistants enjoy reading with younger students. Reading with a child helps the child grow academically and gain confidence in his or her ability to achieve.
