Ms. Conerly’s and Ms. Rush’s class had a fun-filled week learning and doing Christmas activities. They ended the week by watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and making reindeers using each child’s hands and feet.

Students at Ackerman Elementary School have been collecting coke tabs! Together the school collected over 100 pounds to donate to St. Jude. Mrs. Turnipseed’s class and Mrs. Gammill’s class collected the most tabs and received a pizza party from 20 Century Club. #teamAES
Mrs. Catchot’s fourth grade math students at Ackerman Elementary School completed an area and perimeter gingerbread house project! These turned out so cute! #teamAES
Mrs. Jackson’s 6th graders at Ackerman Elementary School are doing a fun activity with gingerbread houses. Students had a budget and had to decorate their gingerbread house using as much of their money as possible. #teamAES

Students in Creative Writing spent all of November writing short stories for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and five students "won" the challenge to write stories of at least 5,000 words. Students also received goodie bags from Mrs. Shows.
