Mrs. Hulett's students had to come up with a creative way to explain either the light reaction or the calvin cycle. They had so much fun completing this activity. Some of the students even made a song! #GoChargers!
FCE 5th graders enjoyed participating in a scarecrow relay. Students worked in groups practicing eight different math skills. There were eight rounds each with a set of new questions. Each person solved their own problem. Correct answers advanced each team to draw one piece of the scarecrow each round. Once finished, the team received a new set of questions. All teams completed the relay with a finished scarecrow!
FCE Kindergarten learned about insects this week, and they have had so much fun bringing in different insects to show.

1st and 2nd grade students learned about Patriot's Day. They built the twin towers out of LEGO blocks - students applied their knowledge about symmetry. The students also placed some LEGO blocks next to the twin towers to represent the reflecting pool.

Students in culinary arts 1 celebrated National Apple Dumpling Day by making these classic American baked Apple dumplings!
Health Science Core students were learning the proper procedure for aseptic hand washing technique according to CDC guidelines. Glo-germ was applied to their hands to simulate pathogens. A black light was utilized afterwards to see if all pathogens had been removed.
Mr. Black's Construction students are studying and learning how to identify hand tools for hand tool ID test.
Culinary Arts 2 students are learning about all about eggs. They experimented with a wide variety of egg cooking techniques such as boiling, poaching, scrambling, and frying. They made Quiche Lorraine, Sausage and Cheese Frittata, and classic Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce.
