Mrs. Miller’s 5th graders at Ackerman Elementary made a “Dead Word Cemetery”. Groups were given a “dead word” that shouldn’t be used in writing, and worked on finding better word choice. They are so creative this year! #teamAES

The school board voted tonight that starting Oct. 13th, the wearing of a mask is not mandatory. If they would like, students and staff may wear a mask. Admins may add masks in certain areas of the building if they feel there is a need to help stop the possible spread of Covid.

Last week in Coach Pilgrim's class, students played speed cards. They worked in partners to solve new problems every two minutes and then pass the cards. They checked their answers on the back of the new card, then flipped it over, and started the next problem.

FCE recently honored their custodians, Mrs. Lashara Davis and Mr. David McNutt, for always making the school Sparkle and Shine! They operate behind the scenes and are often under-appreciated for the hard work they do day after day. They contribute greatly to the success of our school. Thank you, Mrs. Davis and Mr. McNutt.
