As part of their Ancient Egypt unit, Mrs. Utley’s fourth grade gifted students at Ackerman Elementary School explored how mummification worked. Students tried it themselves by mummifying apples to see how the process preserved them over time. #teamAES

🇺🇸 **Chargers, Let’s Honor Our Veterans!** 🇺🇸

As we prepare for our Veterans Day Program, we want to showcase the incredible veterans connected to our students in a special slideshow.

We’re asking students to take a photo **with their veteran** — a family member, friend, or community hero .

Please send the photo (along with the veteran’s name, branch, and war/era of service) to melissastevens@choctawsd.ms by **Wednesday, November 5th**.

All veterans in our community are invited to attend our program as we celebrate and honor their service and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙
