Students in the Choctaw County Chapter of SkillsUSA competed in the State Championship this week. Students participated in a variety of contests including leadership and skilled competitions.
The Opening and Closing team earned a silver medal and includes Aloria Degroot, Amoria Potts, Elmar Gladney, Aaden Blaine, Miley Dossett, Noah Fondren, and Jalik Lawrence. Miley Dossett wrapped up her year serving as Mississippi's State Treasurer (pictured below),
Skilled competitors included Camden Johnson with helper, Donovan Eiland, competing in Carpentry (pictured below).
Janorria Houston and Jaden Edwards competed in Job Interview (pictured below).
Ryan Willmott competed in Culinary Arts. Y'Misha Dotson competed in Restaurant Services. Laura Brooke Myers competed in Baking and Pastry Arts. Leadership competitors included Tristan Smith competed in Related Technical Math.
The Quiz Bowl team placed 4th and includes Calasian Fair, Kate Hernandez, Kailee Pittman, and Ramzey Trice.
